Yes. At VIM, we serve as your full-scope, first-contact, long-term physician. We manage your preventive screenings, diagnostics, prescriptions, urgent care needs, and health records just like a traditional primary care provider. But unlike traditional models, our care is proactive, integrated, and personalized over time.
Most primary care models, concierge or not, are reactive and transactional. They focus on managing illness and providing access.
At VIM, we go further. We focus on health strategy, performance capacity, and lifespan planning. We integrate your diagnostics, goals, behaviors, and risks into a personalized plan and we partner with you to execute it.
Concierge medicine provides faster and easier access to your physician. This, in turn, facilitates more personalized care and attention from your doctor, who generally is caring for a smaller number of patients. The fundamental philosophy and practice of most concierge medicine, however, is still largely reactive in nature. The focus is on medicine to treat disease, which is only part of your holistic wellbeing.
Health Management Medicine is a modern medical discipline grounded in continuity, data-informed decision-making, proactive screening, lifestyle integration, and long-term physician partnership. It’s for people who want dedicated health stewardship to help strategically manage their health as a vital asset (which it is!).
Not at all. We care for individuals and families across all life stages. What our members share is a commitment to living with intention and a desire for care that evolves with them, whether they’re optimizing, recovering, parenting, aging, or transitioning.
You’ll have a formal strategy session with your physician each quarter, plus additional visits as needed—virtually or in-person. Communication between visits is continuous and available via secure messaging, phone, or video.
VIM operates outside of traditional insurance billing so we can deliver longer visits, deeper relationships, and physician-led planning without administrative constraints.
That said, we do our best to help you maximize your insurance benefits when possible. Many lab tests, imaging studies, prescriptions, and referrals we order can be processed through your insurance, and we’ll work with you to ensure that happens whenever appropriate.
Certainly. We have opted-out Medicare, which means neither our practice nor the member can submit a claim to Medicare for reimbursement for primary care. Due to national regulations those who are enrolled in Medicare are required to sign a yearly contract with VIM Medicine stating they will not bill Medicare for any Performance Medicine services. Of course, a Medicare recipient would still be free to use their Medicare insurance to pay for services from other doctors, such as specialists.
